About

Some stories never get an ending. A ship drifts into port with no one aboard. Nine hikers leave their tent in the middle of a frozen night. A book is written in a language nobody can read. The files are opened, the questions pile up, and then, one day, everyone simply stops looking.

Strange World Files is where we pull those folders back out of the drawer.

What we cover

  • Unsolved Cases – crimes and deaths that never got an answer
  • Disappearances – ships, planes and people that vanished
  • Historical Mysteries – riddles buried in old records
  • Ancient & Lost – lost civilizations and impossible ruins
  • Legends & Folklore – the stories people still whisper about
  • Strange Nature – phenomena science is still arguing over
  • Asian Mysteries – cases from Korea, China and Japan that rarely reach English readers

How we write

Every file is told as a story, from the moment things went wrong, and illustrated with our own comic panels. But a good mystery doesn’t need exaggeration. We separate what the records actually say from what rumor and legend have added, and we link to the sources we used so you can check them yourself.

Each file carries a stamp: UNSOLVED if the question is still open, CASE CLOSED if an answer was eventually found, and LEGEND if the story lives mostly in folklore.

Have a case you think we should open? Send it to us.
